Road Closures During First Friday& Stupid Bike Night September 6th, 2019 5:00pm to 11:00pm This is a message regarding the road closures, detour route & parking restrictions in Downtown Vashon on September’s First Friday.
Effective September 6, 2018 at 5:00 pm:
A section of Vashon Highway will be closed for First Friday Gallery Cruise and Stupid Bike Night .
Thank you in advance for your patience and for making this very Vashon event safe.
ROAD CLOSURES! Vashon Highway will be closed between Bank Road and 178th SW (by Vashon Theatre) from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Detour Signs, Street Barricades, and Volunteers will be out to prevent traffic from entering the event.
Vashon Highway from Ober Park to Bank Road will be stopped temporary from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm to allow the Stupid Bike Night Parade to pass.

Click Here for the Detour Map Northbound Traffic on Vashon Highway South of town: West on 178th, North on 100th, East on Bank Road, to North on Vashon Highway.
BEALL ROAD DETOUR: Drivers heading north can take Beall Road to Bank Road, then North on Vashon Highway.
Southbound Traffic on Vashon Highway North of Bank: West on Bank Rd, South on 100th SW, East on 178th, to South on Vashon Highway.
BEALL ROAD DETOUR ROUTE: From Vashon Highway Heading South: East on East Bank Road, then South to Beall Road.
KC METRO RE ROUTE: The 118 and the 119 will follow the detour route around Vashon town, no buses will drive through town from 5:00pm to 11:00 pm.
Buses will pick up at the North end at Bank Road and Vashon Highway as well as at the South end at 178th and Vashon Highway.
PARKING RESTRICTION: No parking on Vashon Highway South of Bank Road to 178th by Vashon Theater from from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
All cars parked on Vashon Highway from Bank to 178th must be removed by 5:00 pm.
Please take extra caution to watch out for families and children walking to town as you are driving around through the detour.
