The Jazz Guy Persists
Hey, hey, hi, hi, it's Bill Wood, the Jazz Guy, the Voice of Vashon's oldest deejay on VoV's oldest show. The Jazz Guy combines Vashonbabble with great jazz, and if you hate it at first, don't give up, the Jazz Guy is an acquired taste. Stay cool.

This I Believe
Inspired by the national series, the Voice of Vashon and the Vashon Chamber of Commerce is bringing This I Believe to our community. We encourage all Islanders to participate. Fifty Vashon Islanders have written and are recording their own essays.

Ignited by VoV producer Rachael Ellison-Taylor in 2006, "This I Believe-Vashon" has been a collaboration between Rachael and several hard-working volunteers -- Mark Wells, Deirdre Grace-Wells, Shelley Dillon, Michael Golen-Johnson and Susan McCabe.

Tune in to heartfelt, funny, moving and candid essays written and recorded by your friends and neighbors right here on Voice of Vashon.

Barstool Mountain
Hosts/DJs: Tom And Liz
Program Description: We're your hosts, Tom and Liz, and our show is dedicated to the music we love best: that of country music Legends - Past, Present, and Future. Barstool Mountain's format is quite simple: music, music, and more music that comes directly from the heart of the American experience. We explore the themes so prevalent in the Legend's oeuvre: drinkin', lovin', losin', and of course, Mama. We talk a little bit - because we never get tired of talking about the Legends, and our ruminations on this subject are quite amusing (at least to us.) But rest assured, it's the music that matters most on Barstool Mountain. We promise not to let our colloquy get in the way of the greatest music ever sung and played for the pure listening pleasure of the American people. And we probably don't need to tell you this, but we are what you might call country music snobs, meaning, we only play the good stuff. (If you don't know what that is, just listen and we'll give you a music lesson.) Our mission is to create a new generation of Legend-lovers, and to provide an hour of pure bliss for all the folks like us who already hip to the white-hot charms of Legendary, hardcore, and alt-Country. Tune in! Oh, and by the way, drop us line if want.
