She packed the Vashon Theater last time she came and this year should be no exception. Grammy-nominated folk troubadour Michelle Shocked brings her unique brand of soul, passion, joy and spirituality to the Vashon Theater October 13th at 7pm.

The show is a collaboration between Vashon Youth & Family Services and Vashon Rotary, with proceeds supporting emergency preparedness efforts on the Island. VoV will be a benefactor as well, with some proceeds targeted to fund Voice of Vashon's second Travelers Information Service transmitter, a key source of information for Islanders in the aftermath of a disaster.

As she did last time, Michelle is asking Island musicians and singers to join her on stage to perform a selection gospel-tinged songs from her new album "ToHeavenURide."

Tickets are $30.00 for general admission and $100 for premium tickets.

Premium tickets include priority seating and the after party at The Hardware Store. Tickets are available at Books By the Way, VYFS, the Vashon Theatre and from Rotary Club members and VYFS Board members.
