Conversation About and Music from “Big Sonia”

March 8th, 2018 by Jeff & Cindy Hoyt

Sonia Warshawsky is a 92-year-old Holocaust survivor who runs a tiny tailoring shop in Kansas City. Her customers come to her for much more than garment alterations. Her inspiring story comes alive in the documentary “Big Sonia,” which is playing to rave reviews across the country and plays next week at the Vashon Theater. This morning, Jeff & Cindy visited with Islander and Story Editor Eric Frith, Director Todd Soliday and soundtrack composer Bradley Laina (from Seattle band Vaudeville Etiquette) to learn more about the film.
