Jeff Hoyt caught up with Bruce Morser & Bob Horsley three different times during their epic 70-mile race from Tacoma to Port Townsend in an open water double. They spoke by phone about four hours in after the guys had just dodged the Southworth ferry off Blake Island. Then they spoke again the next morning as the rowers passed Point No Point and turned toward Port Townsend in the distance. And finally, Jeff got in a conversation after the race was over.
