Island Crossroads – Vashon’s Predators
November 22nd, 2016 by Eric Pryne
A cougar has been roaming the island since summer.
The Shinglemill Creek basin currently is home to a bear. And research
suggests Vashon hosts at least 4 coyote packs. How do we human islanders
co-exist with these “apex predators?” Host Eric Pryne interviews Bianca
Perla and John Rupp of the Vashon Nature Center and Sgt. Kim Chandler of
the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife on “Island Crossroads.”
