Honenberger’s novel “Catcher, Caught” is a Pen/Faulkner Foundation selection for its Writers-in-Schools program. A fellow of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, she appears regularly on literary panels and festivals.

Along with “Waltzing Cowboys” (2009) and “White Lies” (2006), all three of her novels were nominees for the Library of Virginia Fiction Award. Her latest, “Minding Henry Lewis” (2014), was a semi-finalist in the 2013 Best Unpublished Novel Contest.

She received the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference Fiction runner-up award, semi-finalist award in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest, numerous literary journal prizes, and has been recognized by the Virginia Writers Club for her support of other writers.
