Island Crossroads – RJ’s Kids

June 21st, 2016 by Eric Pryne

On rapidly aging Vashon, it’s too easy to overlook the island’s young
adults — in part because they’re seriously outnumbered: There are fewer Millennials
here than folks over 70, according to the Census Bureau. But Vashon’s young adults
face distinct challenges, and RJ’s Kids, a non-profit established in 2014, seeks
to identify and address them.

Guests: Judith Neary, executive director of RJ’s Kids; Kyle Britz and Thalia Goering,
interns in the group’s new Seeds to Service program; and Lee Kopines, executive
director of another Vashon non-profit, Seeds 4 Success.
